The Book of Genesis speaks of beginnings - of the heavens and the earth,
of light and darkness, of seas and skies, of land and vegetation, of sun and moon and stars, of sea and
air and land and animals, of human beings (made in God's own image) of sin and redemption, of blessing
and cursing, of society and civilization, of marriage and family, of art and craft and industry, etc.
etc. |

| The Church Historians are responsible for capturing and maintaining an up-to-date,
chronological, factual record of significant events in the life of the Church and its members commencing
from the date of the church's inception. Like the Book of Genesis, which speaks of beginnings, the
Church's Historians are committed to chronicling the history of the church through the taking of still
photography and the collection/compilation of Church memorabilia, such as bulletins, commemorative
(special) bulletins, flyers, and memos that highlight first-time occurrences in the life of the Church,
e.g., first Easter service, first dedication of a baby, first marriage, first anniversary service, etc.
Special occasions are also recorded on videotape for perpetuity. |

| Lest we forget, and so that the generations to come will know, the History of the church
will also be compiled and composed in written/narrative form as an adjunct to the pictorial/collection
effort. As the Church moves forward toward the building of its own edifice, at the appropriate time,
the Historians will maintain and make available for viewing and inspection, in the Church library, all
documents, pictures, videotapes, and other memorabilia bearing on the continuing history of the church,
as God continues to bless the church. |
